Improvements identification services
Accepting French ID Cards with Extended Validity: Certain French ID cards have an extended validity of five years beyond the expiration date displayed on the document. After a manual review by an agent, the seal.ID API will return the document's validity date plus five years.
For example, if an ID card shows an expiration date of May 3, 2023, the returned expiry date will be May 3, 2028.
Improved wording for identification with residence permit: The updated wording will describe clearly, when to display the passport or identity card of the country of origin and when to display the Swiss residence permit (B, C).
